You remember the commercials, right? Alberto V05 shampoo? It will make your hair full, thick, shiny, lustrous! Well, so won't pregnancy and a little extra progesterone :) My hair is the absolute thinnest/finest hair of anyone I've ever met. Ask any hair dresser who has ever touched it. Everytime I sit in the chair, I hear the same words, "Wow! Your hair is really fine!" They usually make face like they're shocked by it too :/ Well, after five weeks of taking Prometrium, along with the natural progesterone increasing in my body, I now have shiny, somewhat, not thin hair :) Hormones can only do so much with genetics that have the real say so, but I am finding that this is the one perk of pregnancy...of course, besides the fact that I get to have another baby ;)
New this week: teeth are now forming, the heart has finished dividing into four chambers, and the placenta is ready to take over the critical job of producing hormones! Our little baby is now nearly an inch long, the size of a grape :) Almost the entire body (eyes, ears, mouth, hands/feet) and all organs are done forming, so now he/she is "poised for rapid weight gain." Hopefully that doesn't mean Mommy is also :/ I do think I gained a pound this week, and I must say, the first part of pregnancy is the hardest part for me to deal with, as far as weight gain goes. I'd much rather look pregnant than look bloated ;)
