After the mall, we went to Lowe's (my new favorite store...somehow I got REALLY old and boring like that, once I had a baby), and then Jadon went to spend the night with Gramma and Grandpa. They had bought him some new toys for the beach, and wanted to let him try them out.
I have to say, my time away from Jadon is so bittersweet. I long to have a break sometimes, mainly just to get things done around the house or to just listen to Christian music on my iPod at the pool for an hour once a week or so (just what I did today for an hour and a half). It's funny though because once he's gone, I feel like I've lost an arm or a leg...weird, I know. This morning was the first time I've ever taken a walk around our neighborhood without pushing a strolling and listening to Jadon say, "A dah," pointing at the birds in the sky. I felt naked or something, like my neighbors would wonder what was wrong with me and why I was walking all by myself, though I am 100% sure it was all in my head.
Jamie and I were able to get lots of yard work done and finished painting a few things around the house, while he was gone. Can I just say how nice it is to have people who love Jadon (and me and Jamie) enough to spend their entire weekend off taking care of him? Thank you, Mom and Wally! We don't know what we would do without you...honestly! And from the looks of these pics, Jadon had a great time with you at the beach today :)
This is a HUGE week for us, especially for me, as a stay-at-home mommy. First, Auntie Em is coming home from NYC and her mission trip to South Africa on Thursday. And then on Friday, seven, that's right SEVEN, of Jamie's family members will be here for a week! Yay! We cannot wait to see you all!!!
