Getting ready to double check all of our bags, make sure everything is packed for the hospital. I'm SO tired. Nervous. Worried I'll end up having to have a C-section :/ Scared to experience the pain of labor and the dreaded "crowning" of Macy's head. Oh my! Ahhhh....okay, breathe!
Jadon is spending the night with my mom (thank you, thank you, thank you). We'll be headed to the hospital at 5:30am for the induction. I'm not 100% at peace with this, but I'm not about keeping her inside any longer either. My stomach is as hard as a rock, and tender to the touch at times. I have to lean back, in order to breathe normally, at this point.
It is nice to be able to "plan" some things, before we have to go to the hospital (i.e. bags packed, Jadon cared for with all of his million things that go with him, camera packed, not in any pain before I'm medically supervised, etc.). I still think it is odd to choose Macy's birthday (likely 20 days before mine). I hope we've made the right decision. I just want her (and me) to be safe. Prayers appreciated :)
I wonder how long this process will take??? With Jadon, I went in at 3:30am and didn't have him until nearly 8pm that night. I wonder if my cervix has made any progress, since last Friday? My guess is no. I wonder what the pitocin will make the contractions like, when I'm not having any on my own. How fast will they come? How strong will they be? I DREAD things like a catheter (yuck!), but you have no choice, when you get an epidural. I CANNOT imagine pitocin without an epidural!!! No way!
So much unknown. I have to trust that it is all in God's hands because it truly is. I cannot control any of this, just hope and pray that we both end up safe and healthy. God willing, I will be nursing my baby girl tomorrow evening. How exciting to think of all that will change for everyone in our family (exhausting too, of course), but such a miracle, a blessing is about to happen in our family :) We will post pics as soon as we can.
In the meantime, don't forget to check out Jadon's blog for a good chuckle. Whatta monster he is! Can't wait to meet his baby sister! :)
