Again, in order to keep our families in WV and CA updated, here are several clips of the latest developments with our 20-month-old big boy.
One of his favorite books is "Thank You God," a lift-and-flap book. He likes to finish the sentences on each page. I like when he yells "baby brother," and when he seems to yodle the words "each beautiful day."
He can identify all of his shapes, including a trapeziod, but has a little trouble distinguishing a pentagon from an octagon. Most of the time, he calls them all "octa" for octagon. You can hear him saying, "Very good," in this clip (of course, it is in his own way, but Mommy and Daddy always understand what he is saying). He loves to praise himself and other people, when they get the correct answer.
Even though he has only seen his family from CA twice in his life, we do our best to make sure he knows who you all are. He can now identify everyone (not just in this picture, but ALL of your pictures), except Grandma Vicky, but we really haven't looked at too many pics of her lately. No one tell her, pretty please ;) He REALLY LOVES to identify his Nanay and Tatay!
The latest thing Jadon has learned is to identify some of his numbers and letters. So far, he can identify the following letters: A, E, F, G, H, J, O, R, S, T, X and Z...and the numbers 7 and 8. He can count from 6-10, but has no interest in the numbers 1, 3, 4 or 5. He literally ignores the numbers, when he sees them or hears us say them. Who knows?
That's all for now. Maybe tomorrow, I can get him to sing his favorite song, "Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes," unless I'm at the hospital in labor :) Ahhh what a sweet thought that is!
