Yes We Can!

Miss Bleu, you are becoming quite the little ham. Yes, you're chubby, but you are a funny little thing! Just look at this adorable face!

You are spending more and more time in your swing and seem to be enjoying it :) There are times, when we're actually able to get Jadon to play in the same room without pushing you so hard, you'll fly out of it too. Ahhh...the sweet taste of progress!

Here you are today at 7 (yes, 7!!!) weeks, hamming it up for the camera :) You took so many smiley pics, Mommy couldn't decide which one to post. Too precious!

On Monday, we were out of the house for 4 hours with you and your big brother. We ran errands for about an hour, and then spent 3 hours outside at Broadway at the Beach. You fell asleep in Starbucks, while Jadon ate his lunch.You stayed asleep for another 2 1/2 hours, while Jadon played at the playground and we walked around, enjoying the sunshine.

It was such a great day for us all! I never, in a million years, would have guessed we'd be able to accomplish 4 hours outside of the house at one time, while you were just 7 weeks old, and neither you nor Jadon cried once. Seriously...not one tear!

Of course the fun really started, when we got home during naptime ;) Jadon was sleeping in the bedroom, and you were sleeping on my lap, when he woke up crying hysterically (nightmare?). Daddy had just left to go to the post office and the bank. I didn't want to wake you, but I had to get Jadon. So I held you, and picked him up in the other arm, trying to console him.

I carried you both back to the couch, and by that time, you were both screaming and crying. Jadon was irritated that I was holding you. He kept shoving your feet out of his face. You wouldn't stop screaming. He kept fussing. Part of me wishes I had a picture of me nursing you on my left side, while Jadon finally found peace by curling up on my lap with his hand under my bra on the right side??? Why??? Lord, help me! So anyway, Daddy came home and found me like this:
Though I don't look very happy in the pic, I really was. Yes, it was a little overwhelming there for a few minutes, but I was proud that I had successfully consoled both of you without any help. I can do this Mommy thing afterall! I could use six more arms though ;)
