I tried prepping him and getting him excited about "playing with the kids and the toys at church," before we left on Sunday morning. I thought it had worked, until we pulled into the parking lot, and I heard him say, "Nooo," from the back seat.
We got out of the car, and I told him I wanted to take a picture, and for some reason he sat down on the sidewalk. Haha.
Jadon continued saying "nooo" all the way into the church and then into the classroom, where we met his new teacher and about five other two-year-olds. I had looked into the room a few other times, but I never noticed they had so many familiar toys (Play-doh, Thomas the Train table, xylophones, etc.). Jadon has been loving his Play-doh, so I was so happy to see they had it out on the little table, when we got there :) It only took me a few minutes to get him distracted enough, so I could slip out the door. I snapped a quick pic of him checking things out first.
When I went to pick him up, the lights were out with a video on the TV, and all of the other 10 two-year-olds were sitting on the floor around the teacher...all except Jadon. He was playing with cars on the train table.
I had to call him to leave so many times that I finally gave up and carried him out, along with his very first Sunday school papers (hopefully the only ones I have trouble throwing away, otherwise, we're going to need a super large filing cabinet) ;)
