The Year of Pink

It was a year ago today that I found out I would have a daughter. I remember thinking I had a "Jack" in my tummy, and was pretty shocked at the ultrasound appointment to find out I had a...well, I didn't know what her name was gonna be, but she was not a he.

A year later, I will tell you this...I LOVE having a daughter! She is the light of my life, and I can't imagine a day I didn't wake up to her HUGE, gummy grin :) I just know the day the two X chromosomes joined in my womb, angels rejoiced over pink icing-covered cupcakes and sparkling pink lemonade :)

Macy Bleu, here's to monogrammed bloomers, tutus, adorable shoes, tea parties, Easy-Bake oven-made treats, playing dress up, rocking baby dolls, dance recitals, pom poms, pink baseball bats, Easter dresses, playing in mommy's makeup, losing mommy's jewelry, the pilgrimage we'll make to the American Girl store, sweet 16, homecoming mums, decorating your dorm room, finding your first apartment, planning your wedding, baby showers, and rocking your newborn while you take a nap. I love dreaming in pink. And I still can't believe I get to. I love you, baby Bleu!

Prayer

Father, I ask You to bless my family, friends, relatives and those that I care deeply for who are reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings. In Jesus' name...Amen.
