Around midnight, our yard was covered with about 2". An hour later, as Jamie was on his way outside to check things out firsthand, Jadon woke up crying, so Jamie took him outside (yes at 1am!) to make his first snowball. Of course, Macy woke up around that same time, so we took her out to experience her first taste of snow too.
We had heard the last time it snowed enough to see accumulation at the beach was something like 1989, so we made the decision then to get up at 6am to try to catch the sunrise on the snow-covered sand. Soooo thankful we did! If you haven't seen the pics on my photography blog, click here to go to the CoCo Bleu website.

You like Macy's outfit? So Punky Brewster-ish ;) That's what happens when you race out the door to catch a sunrise. That's Jadon's old sweat jacket, her Christmas candy PJs and Gramma's scarf she has on hehe
Sweet Eskimo baby :)

I'm so thankful that I woke Mackenzie up to have her tag along with us! After we took these pics at the beach, she drove me around to snap all of the ones on my CoCo Bleu site, while Gramma, Grandpa, and Daddy took the babies back home to have breakfast. We all agreed it was one of the BEST days any of us had had in a long time (and we have some great days with these sweet babies!). After you see these pics and hilariously adorable video clips below, you'll understand why :) I'l cherish the memories we made with Jadon this day forever! Love you, Jadon James, you silly boy, you!
...he realized Daddy was trying to hit Mama and Sister through the window.
He laughs at anything devious, especially when it involves Macy!
Thankful for the snow. Thankful for my sweet babies and husband. Thankful for family and Mackenzie who shared in the fun.Thankful that in SC, the snowmen and all evidence of snow are gone by noon...seriously! :)
