Happy Easter!

Easter 2009

Easter 2009 recap: went to church, met Gramma and Auntie Em there. Jadon went to the nursery, while Macy slept through the entire service in Gramma's arms :)

Jadon fell asleep in the car on the way to Gramma's (5 min. away), and slept on Gramma and Grandpa's bed for nearly 3 hours, until we woke him for dinner!
While Jadon slept and with dinner in the oven, I took some pics of Macy. How BEAUTIFUL is this baby girl??? I'm in awe of her...in love with her...obsessed with her precious face! She's a baby doll! ***A BIG thanks to the Bolyards for her Easter dress! :)


After pics, Macy fell sleep with only a diaper on, so I put her in her carseat and wrapped her in Gramma's super soft blanket. Apparently she was comfy because she stayed that way for THREE hours! Whatta nice break for Mommy, while Daddy ran to Lowe's for more yard supplies :)

After a delicious dinner, prepared by my awesome mommy, Jadon went outside to play with Gramma and Grandpa. Gramma blew tons of bubbles for him, but all he cared about was his truck.

While Macy was still sleeping, I grabbed some finger paints and painted his little behind and snapped some pics he is sure to hate in the future (see previous post). Happy Keester, Jadon :) His reward? Finger painting and a bath :)

When Macy woke up and was in a good mood, we finally sat down (with everyone looking presentable) and took our first family pic in a few months. My how time flies! Look how big Macy is getting, and Jadon will be TWO next month!

This was, by far, the most blessed Easter of my life! I love my family and am so very thankful to my Savior for the tremendous gift He gave me through His life and theirs :)

Happy 9 weeks, Macy Bleu!

Wabbup

Our development held their annual Easter egg hunt today. Well, we missed the actual egg hunt by 20 minutes, but we made it for pics with the Easter bunny. Jadon wasn't so keen on the idea at first, and Macy slept through the entire thing:

We sat outside the clubhouse by the pool and had refreshments (pizza and ice cream):

Jadon thought intensely about whether or not to put his feet in the pool:

He decided he'd rather not, but insisted we go back inside to see the "Wabbup." Jadon initiated the whole interaction this time, even giving the Wabbup a kiss:

After he tried to swipe a second piece of candy from the Wabbup's basket, we took him back outside, where he was a bit envious of the big kids playing basketball. Jamie said he wanted to tell them that he knew how to "shoot" just as good as they did ;)
After that, we headed over to the playground. There were no less than 25 kids playing in there. Jadon had a blast playing and watching all of the other kids run around!

He's a big people watcher...always taking in everything around him. He's VERY observant. In this pic, he is actually just sitting and watching the other kids run around, laughing at the things they do :)
When we went to leave, Jadon cried to go see the "Wabbup" again. Jamie told him the Easter bunny had to go home to his mommy and daddy and eat his carrots for dinner. The rest of the evening, Jadon kept asking to see the pictures from today, smiling with each one and telling me that the "Wabbup ent hooome." Silly Wabbup!
