Macy LOVES "isssh"

While I've been busy editing pictures lately, Jamie and the kids have been running around having fun without me :( Thankfully, he takes the camera with him wherever he goes, so I won't miss anything. These pictures were taken way back on the day of our big snow here in Myrtle Beach at Bass Pro Shops.

While I was home editing, they were watching the fish and riding ATVs. I'm ready to cut back my workload, so I don't miss any more fun with my babies. It's hard to find balance as a mom isn't it?

Macy really does LOVE all things fish. Jadon still has yet to sit through "Finding Nemo," but Macy will sit there amazed at all of the colors swimming in the water. She's also recently learned to say "duck," after Gramma and Grandpa bought her a stuffed yellow duck for Easter. It's one of the words she can say very clearly.

The 'rents

Jamie and I are convinced Jadon and Macy would prefer to hang out with Gramma and Grandpa any day over us. When they pick them up, they don't even look back. They're faces light up, and they look at us (the people who clean up egg puke from the carpet and their hair!), as if to say, "See ya!"

Hello, Gramma?

If Macy hears the words "hello" or "telephone," she immediately puts her hand, the house phone or a cell phone up to her ear and says, "Oouh?" She will listen to anyone talk to her on the phone, and smiles the entire time. If I am on the phone, she yells at me and tries to wrestle it out of my hand, even though she has three old cell phones of her own. Thankfully, uncle Allen and autie Lily sent her a Winnie the Pooh phone of her own...thank you again! :)

Rewind: January in Pics

In an effort to catch up, here is an assortment of pics from January. It's what most of you care about anyway, right? ;)

Jadon and Macy spend a huge chunk of time everyday tearing apart their bedroom. Macy's favorite thing is to rip books off of the bookshelf, while Jadon, well, Jadon bounces all over the place! Here are some of my favorite pics from this month of them hanging out in their room together:

No doubt something Jadon did:

There's nothing I can't give to this face. Just pitiful :(

Rotten, rotten, rotten. Too cute though ;)

That's better.

Wild MAN!

Honestly. Such a maniac. Such a boy.

Macy knows where her hair is, or she'll do this if we ask her, "Where's your mohawk?"

Yep. Looks like Jadon!

Jadon likes to play dress-up, when he's in his bedroom, hence an insideout toboggan.

Macy LOVES looking at pictures of her family. Her favorite person to look at is her Gramma.

She whines to look at her picture everytime she's in the high chair. "Where's Gramma?"

She gets sooo excited to see her picture, talk to her on the phone, Skype with her, and of course see her every weekend. She's a Gramma's girl :)

Just a typical Jadon-cracking-up-at-Macy face. Class clown, I tell ya!

Wherever Macy goes, Jadon's ALWAYS one step behind. Always. (He should be cleaning that smear off the refridgerator!)

Animal House

When the grandparents stop by, all sorts of circus-like crazy happens!

Don't let Gramma's book reading fool ya!

Grandpa gets them all riled up with his elephant, horse, tiger, spider, whatever-Jadon-calls-them rides ;)

Let's not forget the ole swinging in the blanket trick either:

Jamie and I are so very thankful to have not one, but two sets of grandparents who love our kids as much as we do. Having Gramma and Grandpa just three miles down the road is so nice, and having Nanay and Tatay visit us every summer gives us something to look forward to. Jadon and Macy love you all sooo much, and Jadon thanks God for each of you by name every night, when he says his prayers...and so do we :)

Thankful for Family

On Thanksgiving day, my Uncle Chris and Aunt Suzy (my mom's brother and sister) came from WV to visit us for the week. The last time they were here was last Christmas, when I was eight months pregnant with Macy. Needless to say, things have changed quite a bit since then.

Macy cried, when she first met them in the driveway. She is such a Mama's girl right now, and has more fear of strangers than I ever remember Jadon having. She warmed up to them by the end of the first night though. Jadon was napping, when they arrived, but was quick to show his true colors, after about an hour of keeping quiet at the dinner table.

Before they left yesterday, "Unta Chwis" was Jadon's best buddy. He loved playing toys with him at Gramma's house, spent all day Tuesday with him at the playground, followed by one-on-one time with him at the Aquarium. It was nice for Mama and Daddy to have some time by ourselves (well, with a sleeping Macy in the stroller). We hung out at Starbucks, while they were there. That evening, we ordered Sticky Fingers in and had a nice family dinner (minus Gramma who had to go to a conference in Atlanta, Tues. - Fri.).

Aunt Suzy (who refuses to have her picture taken...like her ENTIRE life!) and Uncle Chris stopped by our house on their way out yesterday morning. Neither of them have ever been married or have any kids, and it was clear they have a strong desire to be near my kids, as they grow. Hopefully one day we can all live here in SC. For now, it is so nice of them to travel all this way, in order to build relationships with my kids. I know how much Auntie Em and I loved having them only a few blocks away, when we were little.

***Oh, yes, and also my mom's other brother, Steve, who lives in CA and couldn't make this trip was able to be with us via Skype. After smoking for something like 25 years, he was finally able to quit nearly 3 months ago and has lost 40lbs!!! He looks AWESOME! So proud of you, Uncle Steve! It was so nice to have all of our family together for Thanksgiving (the best we could, at least). I look forward to a day, when we can all fly to a tropical destination to spend a holiday together. Hint, hint. If not, Myrtle Beach will be just fine. :o)

Going outside to meet Uncle Chris & Aunt Suzy

Standing on her own now!

Pretty baby :)

"The Itsy, Bitsy Spider" She does it on cue everytime :)

Gramma's girl...eating whipped cream :P

Jadon's baby...eating the lens cap to my camera haha

Jadon imitating her. "Waaahwaaahwaah." This is his way of telling her she's a cry baby, though I'm fairly certain he whines equally as much. Just lovely, when they do it in unison. Just lovely!

Always the annoying older brother. Poor Macy.

He really does love her. Really.

Playing with "Unta Chwis"

Outside the Aquarium.

Sweet baby Bleu.

Absolutely rotten! Can you tell?

Inside the Aquarium.
