Birthday Party Pre-Game

The A/C in my car has officially died, and we had to run a few errands today, when Jamie got home. We weren't thinking and left in my car, since the car seat was in it. It was painfully hot here today between 3pm and 6pm! The bank clock said it was 85 degrees, but it felt like 95! Poor, poor Jadon :( He drank his entire bottle of milk, before we were ten minutes down the road. He had little sweat beads on his nose and the back of his hair was wet :(

He was a trooper though, so on the way home I asked Jamie if he wanted to stop at Dunkin Donuts and get Jadon some ice cream ;) Of course he was thrilled at the idea. Daddy daydreams of taking his little mini me out for ice cream on hot summer days, so I thought it was the perfect time to reward the two of them, Jadon for enduring the hot car without A/C and Jamie for...well...simply having the desire to watch Jadon taste ice cream for the first time :) T'was super fun, especially since they were giving away free iced coffees today! Yay for free cold drinks and ice cream on a hot day in South Carolina! In a very short 12 days, our little baby will be a year old, and get to enjoy more ice cream AND cake...can't wait!

So excited to be out of the hot car:

Prayer

Father, I ask You to bless my family, friends, relatives and those that I care deeply for who are reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings. In Jesus' name...Amen.
