Week 16: Prego! It's in there!!!

This is what your big brother does, while Mommy blogs (if I'm lucky, that is):
Yeah, so that didn't last long. Just as soon as I typed those words, Jadon woke up. We attempted to potty, which he did a tiny bit, but he saved the bulk of it for the master bathroom floor and Mommy's feet ;) Then after lunch, he decided his bedroom floor would be more appropriate. Ahhh...potty training is much like training a puppy, I'm thinking, especially after the poop in the living room floor incident yesterday. Oh my!

Oh well. In much happier news, I have officially felt you move on several occasions :) You're about a week earlier than Jadon, or at least I am more tuned into your movements than I was with Jadon's pregnancy. And in sad news (I suppose happy, depending on how you look at it), my waistline has officially disappeared. I find myself wanting to hide my belly behind maternity shirts. In a rush, yesterday, I put on a regular shirt and quickly decided that should just be packed away for the next year or so ;) I've been picking up a few maternity items here and there, when I find them on sale, and I deperately need to get my old maternity clothes out of the storage box in the garage. It wasn't long ago that I packed them away, wondering if I'd ever wear them again. Funny!

We have a doctor's appt. coming up this Friday, the 22nd, but it's not the BIG one...just routine stuff, but we will get to hear your heartbeat again :) Then next time, at 20 weeks, we get to find out what your sex is. Let me just call this now (though I have debated doing so)...I feel you are a boy, just like I did with Jadon. I think your name will be Jackson, "Jack." I just always thought we would have a boy named Jack, though recently I've had at least one other name on my mind that Daddy sort of likes too (hard to believe with him...we disagree on TONS of names). But anyway...it will be another month before we know.

So just to recap: I am REALLY pregnant! I not only have the lack of waistline to prove it, but can also feel the tiny flutters of our future baby Jack (hehe!) in my belly. Just a side note, Baby: If you're not a "Jack," we're going to be just as thrilled. Mommy and Daddy would be SUPER EXCITED to buy a few pink dresses :)Here's a peek at your development this week (you're 4 1/2 inches long from crown to rump!!! Holy cow!):
