Carousel and Cars

When Jadon first learned to sit up, we tried putting him on those rides at the mall, and he loved it. Somewhere around nine months(?), he got scared of them, and would cling to us and cry, as we attempted to sit him on one. It took several months, before we could get him comfortable enough to try them by himself again. Now, as soon as we get to that part of the mall, he takes off running to them, and tries to climb into the cars all by himself. Many times, he fusses, as we attempt to pull him off of them and walk away. Thankfully there is a balloon stand near them at the mall, so we can easily call his attention to those to prevent too many tears :)

For the last few months, we have taken Jadon into the arcade at the mall. He LOVES running around in there, turning every steering wheel he can get his chubby little hands on. Wednesday was the first time we have ever allowed him to ride the rides in there though (since you have to buy a card, and can't just put some coins in). I figured it was about time for him to have his first ride on a carousel. Notice how he is not so sure about it. His face cracks me up because if you know Jadon, you know he is normally all smiles and has an ornery grin on his face or is squeeling and clapping with joy, during these kinds of things.

Still all boy...still loves his "vroom vrooms."
