This is a pic of me at 18 weeks, 4 days. I like that Jamie cut off half of my butt, making me appear smaller than I am, but I don't like the indentation from my bathing suit bottoms around my hips...it's not a big horizontal stretch mark, people...not that there should be anything wrong with that, if it was ;) I can no longer wear pants without an elastic waist. My mom and Wally have both commented that I have a bump, and they said it in a way that made them seem surprised. That'll happen, when you're four months pregnant, you know?
Not much going on this week, well, except for the HURRICANE that is supposedly coming for us :/ Oh how I dread the possibility of having to pack up our car and evacuate. The only bright side is that, if we're staying in a hotel, that means I get to order take out :) A pregnant woman in her second trimester and an array of take out menus could be dangerous! I'm kidding, of course...well sort of ;)
I haven't been feeling too many flutters in my belly this week. What's up, baby? Are you sleeping? Give me a few kicks, will ya? Mommy tends to worry about this stuff. I need more movement, before our ultrasound appointment in two weeks. Did I mention, we'll find out the sex then??? SO EXCITED for that!
***UPDATE: Just about an hour after I finished writing this entry, both Jamie and I were able to feel the baby moving from the outside of my tummy! This was a first. Up until then, I had only felt flutters here and there. The baby is definitely growing. I could feel him/her (definitely a him) kicking my bladder too. It's such a weird feeling, like a nerve in my bladder is being pinched. It's also comforting, but a little freaky to feel such a tiny thing moving with such strength inside of me. I like the large baby movements, like kicking in the ribs, when the baby takes up your entire stomach and rib cage, much better...guess that's because it means it's closer to time to get the baby outta there :)
