Macy has a bit of stranger anxiety, so she kept her eyes on any unfamiliar people who were approaching. If Mama's not right there, the tears immediately flow!
Of all of the pumpkins, large and small, Jadon was drawn to these blue and yellow pumpkins. We asked him which one he wanted, and he said, "Take blue punkin. Take yellow punkin. Do want take blue punkin home? Do want take yellow punkin home?" Then he saw the little orange pumpkin we had and added it to the mix, and before we knew it, we were either going to take them all home or have a meltdown. This wasn't going to be a test-my-limits meltdown. This was going to be a you're-breaking-my-punkin-lovin'-heart meltdown.
So Jamie and I really thought we were going to get a big, orange pumpkin to carve, but ended up with a blue-ish pumpkin, a yellow pumpkin, and a small orange pumpkin. Turns out, the three he wanted were the same price as the one we preferred. There really was no price for the smile on his face though. He was so proud of his punkins :)
The sweetest punkin in the patch
After we paid for the three pumpkins, we headed across the street to take a few more pics under the old oak and weeping willow trees. This area is so beautiful. Love it! Jadon really didn't care for the scenery though. He was too worried about Macy touching his pumpkins, so in all of the 25 shots I took of them, 99% had snot and tears or Jadon giving Macy the evil eye haha. Ahhh siblings :) Besides that, they were both soaking wet with sweat. I think we picked the hottest day in October to pick pumpkins...somewhere around 90* that day. Shew! When we got home, Jadon was so excited to take his pumpkins in the house. He told us they were his "best friends." haha He has a lot of best friends these days ;) Then he named them: Big Mama Blue Punkin, Big Daddy Yellow Punkin, and Little Baby Orange Punkin. Toddlers are as cute as they are unstable. Love this age!
