In all seriousness, while it is VERY sad to lose this time of babyhood that only lasted for the blink of an eye, it is so much fun to see the little girl Macy is becoming. Just yesterday, we had a glimpse of the glamour to come, her first ponytail :)

When I look at this picture, it makes me even more excited to have a daughter. I mean, honestly, I LOVE having a son, but I don't have very much fun rolling cars around the living room...that's just a daddy thing. Daddy and Grandpa like playing with cars and trucks and teaching Jadon how different tools work. I just don't really care about that stuff...at all! I do love my son and am so thankful he has men in his life who will teach him "guy things," but I am REALLY excited to buy some more tutus, add hair accessories, and play with baby dolls :)
Obviously there are things I will do with Macy that will include Jadon, like teaching them how to cook and clean, how to be loving and kind, how to serve others, etc. I honestly can't imagine there will be many things these two will want to do separately for many years. They are each other's favorite person. Their bond is very clear. Here are a few clips of them enjoying one of their inside jokes...no idea, but they sure like to laugh together!
When Macy is not playing with Jadon, you will likely find her next to her mama. She has always been and still remains a mama's girl. Jadon was always content to play with his toys with us or by himself, watch videos, or just run around like a wild animal. I think Macy would prefer to sit right on my lap a majority of her life, if I would allow her.
She has started to play with toys a bit more, mostly with Jadon's race tracks, much to his demise. She does like to watch any video with music. She is a dancing queen! She really doesn't sit still, as long as there is music playing. Yesterday, when she was watching a video, she kept standing up, twisting around, waving her hands in the air and then clapping. She did this for at least five minutes. If you aren't aware, 11 month olds don't do many things for five minutes straight ;) Cuuuute!
Other favorite things: waking up and seeing Daddy and Jadon (makes her smile BIG!), her Gramma and Grandpa (she squeals with delight, everytime she sees them!), taking baths with Jadon, playing with her kitchen set (she means business, when she's doing this! Hilarious!), clapping, dancing, bouncing, smiling (her favorite :D ), going on short drives, being read books, pulling all of the books off the shelves, getting into the bathroom drawers and eating mama's straightening iron, EATING (anything and all things big people), and vacuuming (this little girl will find a piece of fuzz in a heartbeat! She must eat dirt, fuzz, or pieces of lawn debris everyday of her life! And she may have eaten a dead bug by the sliding door. Oops!). She keeps us on our toes :)
She likes to kick her feet, when she's content. She does this when she's eating or excited or listening to music. This has earned her the title "Twinkle Toes" from Daddy, and now Jadon has followed suit...so cute ;) She has the squishiest, softest chub on her hip area...like butta! We cannot get enough of it!
She is "walking," if you consider her ability to take 10 steps in a row "walking." She can go from sitting to standing to walking also. She is still pooping in the potty about five days/week, though she really doesn't exhibit cues that she is going #1. We ARE NOT potty training her! We are saving $$ on diapers though :) and Macy has no issue with sitting on the potty.
She is squirmy, especially if you are trying to change her diaper or put on her clothes. She wants to get into everything she sees, as long as mama is within eye shot. She no longer has to be nursed to sleep, instead she likes being rocked by Daddy. Just this week, she has stopped sleeping next to me at night, which is the first step towards the inevitable process of being weaned VERY soon.
She is a toddler-in-the-making in every sense of the word, and while we are thrilled to watch her grow and learn so much, it is all happening so fast. We're already missing our little pork chop :/ Where has the time gone???
