Well, the seller's for the house I posted above declined our offer. C'est la vie! Today we looked at four other homes. We absolutely LOVED two of them. One was way out of our price range, however, we found out that the owner's of the home had been bought out by their company's relocation department, so the home is actually now owned by a company not an individual. We thought we may have a shot at the house, especially since it has been on the market for nearly nine months. If they accept our offer, it will definitely be a God send. Our offer is $82K off of the initial asking price! Yikes! They'd be crazy to accept, wouldn't they??? They have already knocked over $30K off the asking price...but anyway...the official offer will go to them tomorrow, and they will have until Friday at 5pm to respond. If they accept, we will be living on Carolina Farms Blvd. in "The Farm," and this will be our new home:
And if they decline, all is fine still. We're most certainly going into this deal, assuming we're NOT going to get it, even in this housing market. We just felt that we needed to exhaust all possible options out there that are a good deal, that are affordable, but will also potentially give us a great return, once we decide to sell...likely in five years...who knows?
Also, if this deal falls through, we have another home as a back up plan that we really love also, and it's closer to our price range. I'll spare the details on it for now, just in case the selling company of the home above has really lost their minds :-) Let's hope!
In other news, Christmas pics have been taken and the cards will be in the mail to you all within a few weeks ;-) We're so excited for that, since Jadon is pretty much the cutest baby ever in them, if I so say so myself ;-) Here's a sneak peak:
