This clip doesn't show it, but at one point I thought it would be a fun idea to spin the tea cup around, since Jadon loves spinning so much. Bad idea! I only spun the wheel around one time, and the thing took off like a flying saucer! Jadon's face immediately said it all. He didn't cry, but he had a look of terror on his face, and his eyes welled up. He wouldn't look up at me, and I honestly thought for sure that he was going to puke :/ I felt a little queasy myself. I squeezed the pole in the middle of the tea cup as hard as I could with my legs to slow it down...lesson learned! We WILL go on the tea cups again, but Mommy will NEVER spin the wheel in the middle again! Sorry, baby :/
Despite the possible motion sickness episode, we did have a really fun day out that evening. Before we hit the tea cups, we spent about 45 minutes at the playground with Jadon. Although he likes to spend most of his time (1) picking up individual pieces of mulch or (2) spinning the driving wheels on the platform, he did take a few turns down the slide...not his favorite, but we'll keep at it. Thankfully in South Carolina, we can head out to the park year round :) Jadon won't even have to wear a winter jacket! Yay for nice warm weather in the winter :)

In other news (without video), Jadon has discovered a few new favorite foods this week. He LOVES having Special K cereal with fresh mixed berries for breakfast. And after Jamie and I ate all of the caramel and pecans off of a caramel apple the other day, he discovered that he likes to eat apples on a stick. Mommy bought him several small apples at the store yesterday, and when we got home he ate the entire thing all by himself (peeled, of course). Can I just say that without tons of repetitious meals, it can be hard to find healthy foods to feed toddlers. I'm proud to say that Jadon has still never had a chip, french fry (okay maybe a tiny piece of one...ONE time), fried foods, or processed meat ever! Trust me, it would be VERY convenient to give him a fry or some unidentifiable meat product in a stick form, but I try very hard to keep him as healthy as possible. I'm sure he'll do enough damage, when he's a teenager.
