How much do I LOVE this little boy's smile???
Christmas Eve was spent at Gramma's house with Mommy, Daddy, Gramma, Grandpa, Auntie Em, Aunt Suzy, and Uncle Chris. We went to church at 5pm. YaYa and Uncle Dave arrived around 6:45pm, and then we all enjoyed the fruits of Gramma's labor...yummy! Jadon only opened one gift that night, which was this awesome boat from Gramma and Grandpa:
During dinner, we completely overlooked the fact that Jadon had grabbed the lemon for the peel-and-eat shrimp, and had started drinking it straight from the bottle...double yummy! He LOVES lemon...he's a weird one, our kid ;)
Before leaving for home, Jadon gave everyone a kiss good-bye, and tried his best to eat Auntie Em's face, which he thought was HILARIOUS!
He crashed at home soon after, and I strategically staged a photo op with him and Daddy, complete with Santa hats of course :)
In the morning, he was in a grand mood, staying in his PJs and playing with some of his new Matchbox cars, before we headed back to Gramma's to open the rest of his gifts. Mommy tried her best to cover your bed head with your Santa hat, but...
apparently, you didn't think you looked so bad. I beg to differ, my little troll!
The good news for you (and the bad news for Daddy) is that his hair didn't look any better ;)
We finally made it to Gramma's for a ham and egg breakfast :) and then you opened the rest of your gifts. You honestly didn't care much for ripping the presents open :/ What the heck? I never would have guessed...oh well. So much of our wrapping went to waste, but...
you surely made out like a bandit with all of your presents: Mega blocks, a TON of animal/boat/jungle cruise (imaginex) toys, puzzles, books, Elmo (thanks Aunt Lily & Uncle Allen), building blocks, a caterpillar that plays music, a choo-choo train with blocks, clothes from YaYa, and money that we used to buy clothes and diapers from Aunt Suzy and Uncle Chris.
After playing for a few hours, Mommy, Daddy, Gramma, Grandpa, and Uncle Chris took you to the beach, since it was 70 degrees (on Christmas???). Nice! You were fully ready with your Santa hat and bare feet, but once you hit the sand, you wanted no part of walking in it...guess it was a bit cold for your chubby, little toes. You whined everytime Grandpa attempted to put you down.
We were glad Uncle Chris got to see the ocean, while he was here...and by "see" we mean literally see. Gramma sent him to the eye doctor for an exam and new glasses (his first pair ever!) as his Christmas present. He looked so handsome and intelligent, don't ya think? We just love uncle Chris :) and we're glad he can see how truly attractive we all are now ;)
After one last kiss from Gee and Grandpa, we took a sightseeing tour and ran thru the drive-thru at Starbucks (yes, on Christmas day...the owner is Jewish apparently). It was truly a memorable Christmas spent with family we love, enjoying great food, weather and company, missing our loved ones in California (as always) and awaiting the birth of our baby girl Macy Bleu.
