I know, I know...I'm a big blogging slacker :/ I've been so busy with pictures (other people's, not my own kids) that my head is spinning. I have several partial, half-written blogs saved and unpublished, but am committed to getting them up soon.
So much changes so fast with toddlers, I can barely keep up. I think these videos do a decent job of displaying what has happened as of late. Jadon, who never sang or danced until he was around 2 1/2 years old, is now belting out tunes left and right. Don't worry, between songs, you can still find him running around being a rather obnoxious, rambunctious boy ;)
Macy, who is usually the sweet, smiley lap-cat-of-a-toddler, is now showing a much ornerier side. She is silly. While she still LOVES to sing and dance, she has begun climbing EVERYTHING! She used the Bumbo as a step stool the other day, so she could climb onto the dining room chair and stand (yikes!). She just smiled at me with the proudest two-teeth grin on her face :D She also attempted to climb a fence at the farm, when I was doing a photo shoot and hung off the side of the high chair like a monkey. Oh, Baby Bleu! Here she is showing off her couch climbing skills a few weeks ago. She's graduated from floor to couch, now going from floor to couch to table, giggling and grinning her way to the top. Rotten, rotten, rotten they are!

"The Wheels on the Bus"
Macy LOVES singing and dancing! It is so much fun because she's just so tiny and also because we never really had these experiences with Jadon. He was all boy, and though he liked music, he was never (and still isn't) much of a singer or dancer. He's more of a rough and tumble type of kid, which is completely fine. It's just nice to get to experience both sides of the fence.
Macy is a girl in most senses of the word. She likes to lay her head on my chest or shoulder. She likes to be held. She likes to hum with me, when I sing to her, and she bounces up and down everytime she hears music. She is so loveable, and she is just so much fun! Her love for life is infectious. Watch her. She'll make you smile :)

He's Singing. Clap for him, Macy.
Jadon was never one of those babies who liked to dance and sing. He still doesn't dance, other than while singing "If You're Happy and You Know It" or "Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes," but in the last few months, he has started singing on a daily basis, and it is one of my absolute favorite things he does. The nursery rhyme/children's songs are cute, but the best is hearing him sing along to his videos, especially "La la lala, la la lala, Elmo's world," the theme song to Veggie Tales, and my personal favorite "Life is a highway...I wanna drive it all night long" from the movie Cars (still need video of that).
Here are a few clips from last night of him singing, in order to get out of going to bed. I had put my camera down and said, "Okay, time for bed," and he started belting out random songs and looked at me as if to say, "Aren't you going to tape this?" So I did, and then at the end of singing "Jesus Loves Me," (which he was half-focused on singing) he had one of the CUTEST interactions with Macy that I have ever caught on camera. Don't ya just love when that happens?
The sweetest part of having two babies is watching them bond and welcome each other into their world. I pray their bond is stronger than any other for many, many years to come. So thankful for this life.

Minus the "J"
More singing...of course Adon forgot the "J"!?! But now he knows his "ABCDEFGs..." Next time, won't you sing with "Neee?"
Jesus Loves Him
It seems everytime I try to get Jadon to sing, when I have the camera, he is always distracted. Well, he's two, so he's usually just distracted. He does turn into a completely different kid (rather goofy!), once he sees the camera or I hand him the telephone to perform. Oh well. At any rate, he's still super cute :)
Distracted by crackers:
I think this one will be replayed many, many times when I'm dealing with an empty nest one day. They're too cute!

Calling Miss Mary Mack
Even though it has been over a week, since my last post, you would think it had been over a month with all of the new things Jadon has started doing! He has started to perform on demand a little more than he used to, so I've been able to catch a few of his new tricks on video :) As of last week, he started really talking on the phone! Like I can actually call Gramma or Auntie Em, and he will listen to them and babble away. At first, for whatever reason, he would hold the phone up to his eye, instead of his ear??? Who knows? But now, he has it down. One of our cordless phones always has the battery unplugged, so he can jabber away on there all day. And thanks to Auntie Em, Jadon has now learned to sing and do the hand motions (fairly incorrectly) to "Miss Mary Mack." You know her, right? Miss Mary Mack, Mack Mack...all dressed in black, black, black...with silver buttons, buttons, buttons, up and down her back, back, back? He sings that song CONSTANTLY! Honest to goodness, he woke up the other morning, still laying in bed and started singing it, as if he had been dreaming about it all night. So cute! I SOOOO look forward to taping the many other songs he will learn to sing in the next few months :)
